Driving Lessons from the Driving Academy, Leeds
How many lessons will you need?
According to the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) research shows that those who pass their driving test have had, on average, 45 hours of professional tuition, with an additional 22 hours of private practice.

Harriet - passed first timeHowever remember the DSA figures are just a guide and not a guarantee of how many driving lessons you will need to rip up those "L" plates.
At The Driving Academy we suggest you book lessons of 1 ½ or 2 hours in length. This makes it easier to take in the teaching from your instructor and put it into practice.
The Driving Academy offer a choice of 1 hour, 1 ½ hour or 2 hours, however we feel that usually in the earlier stages after the initial 2 hour lesson a 1 ½ hour lesson is the optimum length of time for learning at one time.
All lesson plans are tailored to the individual requirements of the pupil and follow the syllabus set down by the Driving Standards Agency.
How much will my driving lessons cost?
At The Driving Academy we offer affordable driving lessons. However it’s important to note that when choosing the right driving instructor the cost of driving is rarely dependant on the lesson price alone.
Twice as many "cheap" lessons with an instructor offering poor levels of instruction could end up costing you far more. So whether you are choosing driving tuition for yourself or a member of your family, it’s vital to make the right choice.
We pride ourselves on the success of our pupils and many new pupils approach us as a result of word of mouth recommendations.
These are just some of the many reasons to choose The Driving Academy and why we always say "Our well taught learners of today are the safe drivers of tomorrow".
